Signature Cocktails You’ll Only Find at Tipsy Putt

If you want an idea of what happens when the ambiance of a party and the fun of mini golf combine, you need to visit Tipsy Putt. This is not your average local joint. It’s where flavors meet fun, the drinks are bold, and the vibes can’t be beaten.

Whether you’re out for an adventurous night with friends or planning an epic holiday weekend, Tipsy Putt is Sacramento’s new favorite hotspot; we can guarantee you won’t find drinks and experiences like this anywhere else.

Cocktails

And we’re not saying that lightly. The vibe is electric here, it’s the indoor golf and sports bar in Sacramento where the drinks are as fun and uncommon as the place itself.

So let’s raise a glass (or two) to signature cocktails that you can only find at Tipsy Putt, the kind of cocktails you dream about on weekends, and wonder, when are we planning to do that again?

The Signature Cocktails You’ll Want All the Time

Let’s get to the good stuff: Tipsy Putt is not serving your average drinks. Every cocktail has intention, personality, and a splash of flair; they are not just cocktails, but an extension of the party. Our cocktails are draft pour and rotate seasonally, so you will always have something fresh for the time.

  • Birdie Breeze

It’s light, refreshing, and just a little flirty. Birdie Breeze is a house favorite and embodies the spirit of the game with vodka, fresh citrus, and a little berry. It’s like drinking a summer breeze, even in the dead of winter. Perfect to toast after a hole-in-one or to wash away the frustration of a three-putt.

  • Putt Luck Charm

We think of this as your lucky cocktail. Incredibly refreshing, and perhaps even more refreshing than you planned, the Putt Luck Charm is a vibrant blend of gin, cucumber, mint, and a hint of elderflower liqueur. If drinks could speak, you’d think this one would whisper in your ear, “Let’s just stay out a bit longer tonight.”

  • Tee’d Off

For the bold, dark, and contrastively seductive cocktail drinker, Tee’d Off is for you. Your whiskey is blended harmoniously with orange bitters and a house-spiced syrup to make this cocktail hard to forget. This statement drink means you’re ready for an adventure, and if you’re lucky, you’re just getting started!

  • Hole Enchilada

Do not be fooled by the name, this cocktail is a party starter. Blending tequila, jalapeño, pineapple, and lime, this cocktail strikes the perfect sweet-heat punch to wake up your senses and keep your spirits high. The Hole Enchilada is a spicy take on a traditional margarita with the delicious edge of Tipsy Putt.

  • Mulligan Mule

Everyone deserves a second chance, and Mulligan Mule allows you to reconnect with that second chance. Concocted with house-made ginger syrup, lime, and your choice of vodka or bourbon, Mulligan Mule is the wake-up refreshment after experiencing a wild game of mini golf or a rematch of cornhole.

Not Just a Bar — Tipsy Putt Is A Whole Vibe

The drinks are amazing, but what makes them even more impressive is the experience. At Tipsy Putt, every sip comes with competition, laughter, and adrenaline. It’s where neon-lit putting greens come to life under disco lights and where bartenders fire up rounds of drinks with flair bartending that rivals Vegas.

So you’re the maid of honor and want to throw the bride-to-be a bachelorette party she’ll never forget. How about ditching the same old dull spa day or pub crawl for a speakeasy theme party?

During Prohibition in the Roaring Twenties, speakeasies were the ultimate in exclusivity. They usually required a password to get in, and many doubled as luxurious jazz clubs. The secrecy also provided a little sense of danger and excitement: you never knew if the cops would raid the joint!

Sip and Celebrate: How To Host a Speakeasy Bachelorette Soiree

If exclusivity, luxury, fun, and excitement are what you’re looking for, we have some helpful tips for hosting an intimate, high-class, speakeasy-themed party for your bachelorette soiree that your friends will love. You can handle all the details yourself or choose a venue like Trophy Club, Northern California’s premiere members-only speakeasy.

Start Things Off Right With Swanky Invitations

When designing or buying the invitations for your speakeasy theme party, you can incorporate 1920s style with art deco fonts and geometric designs, using black and gold colors. If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, you could make (or buy) invitations that look like newspapers of the time. Include a story about a women’s suffragette movement meeting with the address of your chosen venue and the time of your party. Don’t forget to include a handwritten note providing everyone with the password to get in!

Get Cozy in the Right Venue

Think cozy, intimate, and classy when choosing a venue for your speakeasy-themed party. You could rent a private room in the back of a restaurant, old hotel, or historic building; transform your home or a friend’s house or backyard with the right decor and ambiance; or plan a private event at Trophy Club. Dim lighting, jazz music, vintage glassware, pearls, beads, feathers, and velvet can all lend an authentic feel.

Trophy Club makes it easy to get in the spirit of the times with luxurious seating and decor, a hidden entrance, and an intimate atmosphere. We also offer delicious, handcrafted cocktails like Sidecars, Old Fashioneds, and Gin Rickeys, and food appropriate to the era.

Dress the Part

Guests will have even more fun if everyone dresses up. Flapper dresses, beaded fringe, headbands, pearls, and feathered boas can all be found online, at costume or vintage shops, or even in some thrift stores.

If fancy dresses aren’t your thing, you could always go with a gangster theme. Known as gun molls, female gangsters were notorious in their own right. Choose fedoras, red suspenders, striped pants, wingtip shoes, and white shirts to complete the look.

Eat, Drink, and Be Merry

Hire a bartender or learn how to make your choice of popular 1920s cocktails. You may need to invest in a cocktail shaker, aromatics, some bitters, and some martini glasses for a more authentic experience.

Finger foods, appetizers, and charcuterie boards are perfect nibbles for a speakeasy-themed party. Deviled eggs, sliders, mini quiches, and other quick and easy bite-sized food are a good choice.

If you host your event at Trophy Club, you’ll have access to bartenders known for their cocktail creations. If you can dream it up, they can mix it up! You can even curate the drink menu for your event, choosing from seasonal craft cocktails, beer, wine, and champagne. Delicious cheese and charcuterie boards and the tapas menu are available for just the right bite.

It’s All Fun and Games

As far as entertainment goes, jazz music is a must, whether live or just on the playlist on your phone. Consider having a group lesson (or watch this YouTube video) to learn to dance the Charleston, which was wildly popular at the time because you could dance along with the jazz music. Once everyone has the basics down, you could have a dance contest with prizes.

Gangsters and gamblers were also a big part of the era so you could set up a friendly game of blackjack, gin rummy, or poker. Backgammon and Parcheesi would also work since they were popular board games at the time.

Since everyone will already be in costume, it can be easy to incorporate a murder mystery game into the evening. Create one yourself or buy one readymade to amp up the night’s excitement. It might even be fun to get some friends to dress as cops and stage a “raid” to break up your party and move everyone to a new venue to continue the fun.

Memories to Last a Lifetime

Set up a photo booth with props like boas, cigarette holders, feathered headbands, scarves, and fedoras to create memories and party favors all at the same time. You can use a Polaroid camera for instant pictures to give to your guests or take them on your phone and create a photo book after the event.

Other party favors to consider:

  • Personalized mini flasks
  • Custom cocktail shakers or glasses
  • Small bottles of champagne or other liquor
  • Fake pearls in a monogrammed box
  • Real cigars or chocolate ones
  • “Mug shots” of all the guests, especially if the party gets “raided”

Raise a Glass, Putt Tipsy: Happy Hour in Downtown Sacramento's Mini Golf Bar

Fun With Coworkers = More Fun at Work

It’s been proven that when we have friendly relationships with the people we work with, we have more fun, are more creative, and tend to be more satisfied with our workplace. Going out for happy hour with your coworkers is a great way to get to know people and find out what other common interests you might have besides just being in the same place at the same time every day.

Break the Ice With Fun

Skip the awkward ice-breaker questions and games and go right to the part where you have fun! Mini-golf at Tipsy Putt is an excellent choice for an inclusive outing because we’re fully ADA-accessible. Mini-golf also requires zero skills to participate, and a round of golf starts at just $12 per person. With a great bar selection and delicious local food on-site, you’ll end up with a happy hour that everyone will laugh about tomorrow around the office water cooler.

Besides mini-golf, Tipsy Putt offers many other games that can be added to your admission price. While waiting for your tee time, your coworkers can warm up with 1-2 Putt™, a mini-golf tabletop game where the person with the highest score actually wins. Or have a little friendly competition with Duffleboard, a combination of mini-golf and shuffleboard, or even cornhole. With our sports bars and big-screen TVs, there is something for everyone’s interests and tastes.

Locally Owned, Local Tastes for the Thirs-Tee

Tipsy Putt offers an extensive tap list with over 28 taps of local brews and ciders and some of the tastiest bites with California-sourced ingredients. Happy Hour can be a great time to enjoy great tastes at excellent prices.

Let’s start first with our beverage selection. If you have a bunch of beer-geeks at the office, you’ll love what we have to offer. We’ve curated a selection from local brewers to make the hoppy-happy in your office mingle with the dark malt chasers. Those who prefer lighter tastes might enjoy our Tipsy Putt Lager or the Denim Kimono Lager from Sacramento’s Porchlight Brewing. You could also sip a pint of Bike Dog Brewing’s Mosaic Pale Ale. Dark and malty fans might enjoy BigWig Brown Ale from Jackrabbit Brewing, and those who prefer a little more funk might enjoy their Pineapple Sour.

We are a local brew stop, and our wine and spirits come from local wineries and distilleries. Find a drink or two on our wine and cocktail list. Perhaps a Grape Par-Garita will be a part of your game, or maybe a Pink Caddy Pants will take your mind off the green. If you visit us on Taco Tuesday, prepare to enjoy some select drafts and margaritas for only $5!

Don’t worry about your sober coworkers, as we have a selection of great nonalcoholic beverages for them too.

We like our food fresh, authentic, and tasty. Find a twist on Tex-Mex cuisine like stout-braised carnitas tacos or our Flaming Hot Elote Bowl with fire-roasted corn, chipotle mayo, cotija cheese, and cilantro topped with Flaming Hot Cheetos. With other vegetarian and vegan options, there’s something for everyone on our menu.

Start With Happy Hour and Keep Going

We host many weekly and monthly events so you and your coworkers can keep the fun going. You can start with happy hour and then stay for one of our regularly scheduled events. Put your team to the test at our Tipsy Trivia on Tuesdays. It’s not your grandma’s bingo hall at Sacramento Drag Bingo on Thursdays. We offer many other events, especially during the summer, so check our event calendar to see what’s in store.

Maybe you and your coworkers will want to join one of our leagues! Our Putter’s League five-week putt-putt golf league is a great way to enjoy some friendly competition and win some prizes. Maybe try your hand with twists on the 1-2 Putt™ game in our Clubbers League. Happy Hour might lead to a new hobby and new friendships if you swing by Tipsy Putt!

Other Ideas if You’re Game

Maybe your party needs exclusivity, and you’ve been challenged to find that. Stress no more because we have you covered. With our speakeasy, Trophy Club, you can make your happy hour into a whole Gatsby-inspired mystery right here at Tipsy Putt.

Hidden in plain sight, your team can enjoy handcrafted cocktails, extensive liquor selection, and curated bites. While membership to the club guarantees your entrance, we are open to the public and can arrange a private party for up to 50 guests.

Tipsy Putt’s happy hour specials run from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Walk-ins are always welcome, but if you need more help and space, we have you covered. We can take reservations for parties of 6 or more and accommodate up to 450 people with a mixture of indoor and outdoor spaces. We can also arrange a great spread from our catering menu and so much more.

Tired of the same “dinner and a movie” date every weekend? Thinking about throwing a fun, themed party but want to make it one your friends will never forget? Or are you looking for something special for your next girls’ night out?

Well, look no further than Trophy Club, the East Bay’s speakeasy bar hidden in plain sight! During Prohibition, speakeasies varied widely from modest basements to fancy jazz clubs, but what they all had in common was exclusivity. Only those “in the know” could find them or gain access, often with a password. The hottest East Bay speakeasy continues that tradition of exclusivity by offering a smaller, more private, intimate space tucked away from the noise and crowds within the mini-golf pub Tipsy Putt.

What’s So Special About Trophy Club?

The Roaring ’20s were all about opulence, luxury, and style. Keeping with that theme, at Trophy Club, we focus on creative, elevated cocktails curated from a substantial liquor selection, fruit garnishes dehydrated in-house, barrel-aged liquors, and aromatics. Our bartenders handcraft a variety of seasonal cocktails as well as favorites from bygone eras, like Mai Tais, Old Fashioneds, Sidecars, or Garibaldis.

If you’re looking to take it up a notch, though, they’ll be glad to create a drink especially for you for a truly one-of-a-kind experience. If cocktails aren’t your thing, we’re also proud to serve all local beer, as well as wine and champagne.

It’s not just the drinks, either. You’ll never go hungry at Trophy Club. Any selection from our delicious tapas menu will pair perfectly with your favorite cocktail.

Finally, the ambiance and decor help provide a truly immersive experience. Pass through the hidden entrance, and you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Velvet seating, low lighting, gold accents, craft cocktails, and tasteful jazz come together to create a luxurious experience in our 1920s-style lounge.

Make the Most of Your Speakeasy-Themed Night

You don’t have to worry about the decor, ambiance, food, or drinks. Trophy Club takes care of all of that for you, but here are a few ways to make the night even more fun and memorable:

Pick a Theme

You can go classic and glamorous like The Great Gatsby or take the gangster/bootlegger route.

Dress the Part

Half the fun of a themed party is dressing up. Glamour, high fashion, and art deco are the way to go. For ladies, pick a flapper dress with beautiful beading and fun fringe, a cloche hat or beaded headband, a feather boa, and long, white gloves that will prepare you for dancing the night away. For the gentlemen, three-piece suits and bowties will do the trick. You could choose tuxedos for a more classic theme or a dark, pinstriped, double-breasted suit and fedora for a gangster look. Costume shops and thrift stores are great resources.

Learn the Charleston

Named after Charleston, South Carolina, the Charleston was a wildly popular dance in the 1920s partly because it worked well with the lively jazz popular at the time. Whether you’re dancing alone or with a partner, the Charleston is just what you need to spice up your speakeasy-themed night.

Set the Tone With Invitations

If you invite friends to join you, you can’t go wrong with striking gold and black invitations. Stick with the sharp lines and geometric shapes of Art Deco for the most authentic look. If you’re feeling particularly creative, you could go with invitations made to look like newspapers of the time. You could include a story or an ad about a speakeasy bar that was shut down and then write in your details about meeting up at a new place: Trophy Club.

Keep Them in the Dark

Passwords, secrecy, mystery, and hidden entrances can all be part of the fun for your speakeasy-themed night. You could make the venue hard to find and lead your guests on a scavenger hunt through the city with pictures or clues that will eventually lead them to the Trophy Club. Create a password or membership card just for your party and provide it to your guests beforehand.

Plan a Private Event

For groups of 10 to 50, you can even plan a private event at Trophy Club. Aside from our fantastic ambiance, what can you expect when you reserve the space for you and your guests?

  • Drinks: With the help of our bartenders, you can curate the drink menu for your event, choosing from seasonal craft cocktails, beer, wine, and champagne or a unique, signature cocktail creation. As the host, you even have the option to name the cocktail and decide on the spirit, color, and tasting profile. We can hand guests your signature cocktail as they enter. If you prefer, wine and champagne packages are also available.
  • Food: If you want Trophy Club to cater your event, we offer tasteful cheese boards and charcuterie selections for groups of 10 to 15. Of course, your guests are always welcome to order from our tapas menu, or for an even more distinctive experience, we can design a custom menu to go along with your drink choices. For larger groups (20 to 50 guests), we do recommend using Tipsy Putt’s catering menu, which is served buffet style.

“Trophy Club” Is Your Password to an Unforgettable Evening

For a one-time fee, you can become a member of this premier East Bay speakeasy for life. As a member, you will enjoy special priority access, drink and merchandise benefits, member events, and unlimited mini-golf at all Tipsy Putt locations. Benefits never expire.
