Experiential brand ranks No. 28 in Travel and Hospitality and No. 6 among Sacramento’s fastest-growing companies

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Tipsy Putt, the innovative sports bar and entertainment concept combining miniature golf, social competition, locally crafted beverages and food, has earned the No. 1,889 position on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies.

Tipsy Putt also ranked No. 28 in the Travel and Hospitality category and No. 6 among the fastest-growing companies in the Sacramento area.

The recognition reflects the vision and leadership of Tipsy Putt founder and CEO Brandon Robinson, who has guided the company from a Sacramento concept into a growing, multi-location experiential hospitality brand. Tipsy Putt has become a distinctive destination for guests seeking memorable date nights, corporate gatherings, group celebrations and an engaging sports bar experience.

“Being recognized by Inc. is an incredible honor and a testament to our entire team,” Robinson said. “We set out to create more than a traditional bar or miniature golf venue. We wanted to build welcoming spaces where people could connect, compete and create lasting memories. This achievement validates that vision and inspires us to keep growing.”

Robinson’s leadership strategy combines empowering local teams and a strong commitment to the communities they serve. This approach has helped Tipsy Putt expand while preserving the authentic, locally focused experience that distinguishes the brand. Each venue brings together golf-inspired games, local beer, wine and spirits, quality food, big-screen sports and flexible event spaces.

Tipsy Putt offers companies an inclusive alternative to conventional venues for corporate parties and team-building events. Couples can pair friendly competition with drinks and dining, while sports fans can enjoy major games in a lively social atmosphere. The result is a versatile entertainment destination where coworkers, couples, friends and celebrations of all kinds take place.

The Inc. 5000 recognition marks an important milestone in Robinson’s broader vision: building a scalable, community-driven hospitality company without losing the personality and local partnerships that fueled its success.

“This is only the beginning,” Robinson added. “We’re excited to introduce Tipsy Putt to more communities and continue raising the standard for social entertainment.”

Our Story

Building More Than Mini Golf

Tipsy Putt was founded on a simple idea: create a place where great golf-inspired games, local craft beverages, community engagement, and friendly competition come together under one roof.

Since opening its first location in Sacramento in 2019, Tipsy Putt has grown into a multi-location entertainment company serving communities across California and beyond. Guided by its core values of Golf, Community, Social Competition, and Fun, the company has built a reputation for creating memorable experiences while supporting local businesses, charities, and neighborhoods.

Founded by Brandon and Jennifer Robinson, Tipsy Putt has remained focused on delivering an authentic experience that blends the spirit of golf with the energy of a social gathering place. Today, the company continues to evolve through new locations, innovative gameplay, charitable initiatives, and a commitment to showcasing local food, beer, wine, and spirits.

What began as a classroom business plan has grown into one of the fastest-growing golf entertainment concepts on the West Coast.

The Timeline

April 22, 2017

While traveling in Washington, the founders discovered an indoor mini-golf and craft beer concept that sparked an idea: Sacramento deserved an experience that combined golf, hospitality, and local culture under one roof.

During MBA studies at California State University, Sacramento, the concept was developed into a formal business plan. The project, titled Tipsy Putt, received enthusiastic support from classmates and laid the foundation for what would become the company.

December 19, 2017

After continued outreach and a clear commitment to bringing the concept to Sacramento, discussions intensified regarding a potential partnership with Flatstick Pub in Seattle.

Expanding Along the California Coast

February 22, 2024

Tipsy Putt Cannery Row opened in Monterey, bringing the brand to one of California’s most iconic tourist destinations.

With each new location, the company continued refining its experience through improved gameplay, enhanced food and beverage offerings, community partnerships, and charitable initiatives.

Looking Ahead

August 28, 2025

Tipsy Putt filed with the SEC to launch a crowdfunding campaign supporting future expansion, including plans for a San Francisco location.
